Is your dog flipping you the paw and jumping up, nipping, not coming when called? Sure your dog will come when he's in a room or building, but will he come when he is loose outside when he sees a rabbit or another dog? Does he take off as soon as you open the door? We promise your dog will be obedient in just one session - and we guarantee it! You will see your dog start looking at you and to physically relax as if saying "my owner is finally my leader". Don't believe it? Since what you are doing isn't working, it's time for a change. Come see for yourself, and I promise you will be pleasantly surprised. You aren't obligated in any way.
And - I will work with aggressive dogs. The majority of so called aggressive dogs are not really aggressive, they are misunderstood, so get rid of the problems, not the dog. Also, spay and neuter your pets, they will make a much happier better pet. Don't help fill up the shelters, humane societies, and rescues with unwanted pets, set a good example for your children by being a responsible pet owner!
Any dog, including small dogs, will benefit from being taught with the remote collar. Guaranteed! Just because you have a small dog doesn't mean he should get away with anything different from larger dogs, and it can save him from getting hit by a car!
When you want a dog to bond to you, it is best to not wear any colognes or lotions that block your human scent. You want him to be able to pick you out of a crowd and he can't do it if he can't find your scent.
Training dogs is 7% verbal, 93% body language and your dog needs to be able to see your eyes, so you should not wear sunglasses when training. The dog reads a lot from your eyes and you will find once he can see them, he will look at you more readily for direction.
There are
trainers that say your puppy/dog, should not be
off leash around other dogs or puppies, they should only pay
attention to you, when, in my opinion, if you are being taught correctly, your puppy/dog can be attentive, obedient AND social under any distractions. If your dog isn't given proper
socialization he will have issues when he sees other dogs.
With this can come dog to dog aggression because they haven't
learned how to interact with their own species. There will come a day when your dog will come in contact
with others, you can't control the environment, and with proper
training, dog to dog meetings won't be a problem.
He doesn't have to like other dogs, but he does have to learn to tolerate them without getting aggressive.
Trust and respect is the
foundation, and exercise, mental discipline, and affection all help
build that foundation. I am selling you a service, I can't sell you a relationship, but I can show you how to be a pack leader.
I only do Private Sessions, where you get one on one personal attention and I am solely a remote collar trainer. I guarantee you will be successful and thoroughly amazed after only one session. It doesn't take weeks to get your dog under control - 1 TIME - and I guarantee it! If at anytime you need additional help, there is no charge.
It's all about helping you with your dog, and my charges are fair; more is not better when it comes to dog training. I have years of hands on experience with rescueing, owning, showing/competing, and training/handling various breeds, which I feel is very important for a trainers experience. Dog training is an art and you either have it or you don't, so be careful of inexperienced people that call themselves dog trainers but don't have actual experience training.
The cost of $350 includes both the remote collar and the training session, ($495 for two dogs with 1 remote, two collars). This is a one time charge, any additional help, if needed, is "free".
If you have your own remote collar(s), the training fee is $150 per dog. A training session typically lasts from one to two hours but I don't put a time limit on it, we keep working until both you and your dog fully understand. Prepare to be amazed!
I will no longer schedule an appt. without a $100 non-refundable deposit.

I've heard people say the collar causes aggression. NO, IT DOES NOT!!!! This is said by people that do not know what they are talking about -guaranteed! It isn't the use of the technique, it is the abuse of the technique! (in other words, not the tool, but the fool)
When considering which collar to
use, be aware that head halters and choke chains can be very dangerous and if not used properly can
cause irreparable damage to the trachea, the neck and back. Do not leave them on your dog unattended or when he is playing
with other dogs as accidents can happen with one or both dogs
getting severely hurt. Using a harness encourages pulling and can cause injury to you, so stay with a proper collar. Get instruction from a
knowledgeable trainer on the correct way to use any training tool
you are considering.
Whether your dog is running away, jumping up, pulling, barking excessively, digging,
showing any kind of aggression, or any other unwanted behavior,
I will help you solve any problem quickly, gently, and
effectively, without you ever having to raise your voice.
I can also tell you how, when you aren't
home to supervise, you can keep your dog off the furniture, out
of the trash, off your counter tops, etc. without your dog being
locked up all day. It's an amazing innovation.

I no longer do group training classes. I believe a dog should learn
commands and to be able to focus on only you, and the best
way to do that is to start with no distractions. Once
your dog pays attention to you and knows the commands, that
is the time to add distractions. Learning with a
Private Session what to do, then doing it at home, is so
much easier and successful for both of you and success is what it is all about.
I'm not saying classes aren't a good thing, I am saying that expecting
your dog to learn with distractions without training first is setting him up for
failure and that is not fair to the dog.
Because I mainly work with dogs with issues, I no longer handle or work with puppies under 6 mos. old unless you are having major issues you feel you need help with, then please call and I will help you. I recommend getting your puppy into a good "puppies only" class to begin with and recommend same size puppies. Don't let your little guys be intimidated by the bigger pups, it can cause life long problems. You are setting their foundation to four mos. of age with a bit of a window up to six months of age. They need positive good socialization and interaction with other puppies their own age, and with different people and places. Take them out and about and get them used to riding in the car and seeing new sights and sounds so they can learn to take everything in stride. Don't expect too much too soon, be patient, and your pup will grow up balanced and without issues.
Puppies (5-6 mos. old and up) and 'most' (not all) dogs
will benefit from coming to the Dog Park on a regular basis.
Not only for the socialization but for good dog
exercise. When the body is tired, the brain can focus
better and that is the time to train. Dog training has evolved, evolve with
it.
